Derek Rocks da House is an 8bit electronic/rock comedy niche progression from Early Works Revisited.
The song was initially produced and recorded by Evers and his friend. Evers has done additional production on the track, for the remaster.
The comedic aspect of the song is a pun; rocking a literal house, and rocking a crowd.
The track itself is a very upbeat and devilishly optimistic tone.
Lost Music Video
Evers and his friend had almost finished a music video, when the song was originally completed (on an Intel 386). However, it was more difficult to back-up material at the time,
and most of the video images were lost, during a computer crash. The unfinished video was an example of advanced picture/photo animation, that followed Derek around the house, as he literally rocked the house.
