Uriel is an experimental platform role-playing game, designed by Derek Evers.
It is the precursor to Evers' much anticipated game Uriel 2.
Uriel was designed as an homage to the more difficult NES games.
In the game, the player controls Uriel, who is dumped into a small open-world, and must defeat bosses spread throughout the land.
Every boss must be defeated by it's corresponding numbered sword. The bosses become difficult, and exploring the land is like a difficult puzzle,
as Uriel runs out of health. The game ends when Uriel dies, or with the classic game win animation, if all bosses are defeated.
"Beyond our Galaxy, there is a planet that spins closer to a star than our own. However, this world is controlled by greedy slime-monsters, and only Uriel can stop them."
